My Favorite Locally Owned Donut Shops in Reno

Looking for a local shop to celebrate one of the best holidays ever on Friday, National Donut Day? I have you covered with a list of my favorite spots, in no particular order:

1. Sprinkle Donuts

This shop is Scotty and I's go-to after a Vegas Golden Knights shut out. They serve quintessential fluffy donuts with the perfect glaze, and extra large versions to share. Or to keep all to yourself!

2. Donut Bistro

Both the Reno and Sparks locations of Donut Bistro are amazing! However, I have to say I prefer the Reno location due to the combined space with some of the best Asian cuisine in town. Scotty and I have rolled into town from a long drive from Vegas and gone straight here for dinner instead of home. I love stopping in for a walnut shrimp entree and a donut for dessert.

3. DoughBoys

Not only are their donuts in every location spectacular, DoughBoys is constantly giving back to the community. They truly #DoughGood by supporting local charities, first responders, school programs, supporting their employees in getting citizenship, and more. I especially appreciate that their owner Jay Kenny donates the leftover donuts every day to the Salvation Army.

4. Jelly Donut

A Reno staple! Their sign on South Virginia is one of the most recognizable in MidTown. As they are open 24/7, you can count on them any time of day for a great donut. Their store also sells sandwiches, boba, and horchata.

Did I miss a locally owned donut spot you love? Drop it in the comments so I can try them out!
